Ady Comes Home

Just thought I'd post some more pics of Adyson and some of her nursery and give you an update on little Ady. See the new slideshow of her to the right.

We've had a blast going over to visit her! I'm so glad we live so close! Unfortunately I've had a cold starting yesterday so I'm going to have to resist visiting her until I get over it (hopefully by this weekend).

Mom and dad are settling in at home with Ady and learning how to feed and burp her and taking shifts during the night with her. Nana Carol is staying over to help out for at least this first week. She had her first bath at home Sunday night and I video'd it.

Ady went for her first doctor's appointment yesterday and has another one today. She is jaundice, but other than that, she's doing just fine. Jaundice, for those of you who don't know, is a yellow coloration of the skin and is common with babies. It's just caused by red blood cells from the pregnancy that the baby's body must now get rid of on its own. It's nothing to worry about and should go away soon. Other than that, the doctor says she is healthy and her arms and legs are strong.

Welcome to the World, Little Adyson!!

Adyson Elizabeth Camp arrived yesterday evening at 4:58PM!! She weighed in at a healthy 6 lbs. 1 oz. and is 18 inches long. Get this- Adyson was born in the same hospital as me, Texas Women's, within the same hour, same exact weight and height- craziness!

She and mom are both doing well. I heard this morning that Adyson is eating well and is now staying in mom's room. Chris and Beth could not be happier about the new addition to their family, along with all of their proud relatives! We're going to get to really see her and visit with her this evening- Wes and I are so excited!

Ady's nursery is all set up and as precious as can be!! She will love her new room and settle in in no time, I'm sure! Pics soon to come..

We are so excited about our new niece and so fortunate to live so close to Beth and Chris so that we can babysit A LOT (hopefully)!! We couldn't be happier for Chris and Beth and love them dearly! Congrats again guys!! Y'all are parents now! The fun begins!

Holding Daddy's hand...so precious!
